Corporate Quality course introduces the basic phenomena, concepts, procedures, problems, and solutions in the general topics of quality in business, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability. The course builds on previously acquired knowledge and skills in various past courses included in the UNIR MBA program. This especially applies to general management courses, and leadership oriented courses, but also on other more professionally specific courses because quality is a necessary aspect in every discipline of business administration. The overall purpose of the course is the development of sensitivity for immoral acts in the business world. But also, the promotion of CSR and sustainability initiatives as part of the overall quality of the company. From a long term sustainable business perspective, ethics & social responsibility and sustainability are fundamental features of modern successful business endeavors. As part of the course, proactive action with regards to the promotion and operation of the CSR method will also be encouraged. In order for that to be possible, the acquisition of knowledge-that (facts) and knowledge-how (skills) for the prevention and recognition of typical cases of immorality and irresponsibility is necessary and will also be covered. This will be complemented with suggestions for resolving present issues and guiding future business practices.
